This "temple of modern art,” located in the Fort
Worth Cultural District, embodies the principles of classical
Japanese architecture while employing modern Western techniques.
Designed by acclaimed Japanese architect Tadao Ando, the museum
features 53,000 square feet of gallery space, a 1.5-acre pond,
a cafe overlooking the water, and a 250-seat auditorium. The
Modern showcases masterworks of modern and contemporary American
and European art from 1945 to the present, including painting,
sculpture, works on paper, and photography.
