Based on the popular 1988 MGM film, DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS centers on two con men living on the French Riviera – the suave and sophisticated Lawrence Jameson, who makes his lavish living by talking rich ladies out of their money; and a small-time crook named Freddy Benson, who swindles women by waking their compassion with fabricated stories about his grandmother’s failing health. After meeting on a train, they unsuccessfully attempt to work together only to find that this small French town isn’t big enough for the two of them. What follows are a series of schemes, masquerades and double-crosses in which nothing may ever be exactly what it seems. This show is suitable for most audiences. Parental guidance is recommended.

The Box Theatre presents "King Henry V"
11/16/2007 thru 12/02/2007
Sanders Theatre
Fort Worth Community Arts Center
817-994-7201
The Box Theatre presents a unique production of Shakespeare’s history play. This presentation, directed by Michael Johnson and Matt Thurston, eschews the typical “action pageant/star vehicle” approach in favor of a characters-over-spectacle piece with a strong ensemble in which every actor takes on a number of roles. Following the Chorus’s suggestion that the play “on your imaginary forces work,” the “vasty fields of France” will be played on a bare stage and the “casques that did affright the air at Agincourt” will be portrayed by nine actors with very minimal costume. Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays Nov 16-Dec 2 Showtimes are 7:30 Fridays and Saturdays, 2:30 Saturdays and Sundays
