FORT WORTH CONVENTION & VISITORS BUREAU NAMES NEW VICE PRESIDENT OF MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS
FORT WORTH, Texas - The Fort Worth Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) announces that Merianne Roth has been named Vice President of Marketing Communications. Roth begins her position August 1.
Roth has more than 16 years of experience in messaging strategy, public relations, brand marketing, cause marketing, promotional events, corporate communications, media relations, and crisis and issues management. Most recently, Roth served as Consumer Brand Marketing and Publicity Director for JCPenney Corporation, where she was responsible for developing and implementing brand marketing, communication, and publicity initiatives, increasing brand awareness and maintaining a positive, consistent brand image. Roth's background also includes serving as the Senior Manager of Public Relations for Pier 1 Imports, where she was responsible for corporate communications and events, product placement, crisis management, cause branding, and new and existing store promotion.

Roth is a graduate of Mississippi University for Women and began her career at the Birmingham Museum of Art and moved to Fort Worth for a position at the Amon Carter Museum of American Art. She has served on The Women's Center Marketing Committee, Baylor All Saints Women's Health Committee, and has volunteered with the United Way and Kinderplatz of Fine Arts for several years.
