In 1999 the City of Fort Worth acquired a herd of fifteen Texas Longhorns, each steer representing one decade from Fort Worth's colorful past.

The Fort Worth Herd Cow Camp allows children and adults to have hands on, interactive experiences with the equipment used during the Cattle Drive Era.
