Transportation

Fort Worth is located in the center of the U.S., so it's easily accessible from practically anywhere. Once you're here, it's very easy to get around Fort Worth or travel to nearby cities and Cowboys Stadium, which is only 12 miles away from downtown.

Air Travel

  • Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. Downtown Fort Worth is only 17.5 miles by ground transportation from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. This is one of the busiest airports in the nation, with non-stop service to more than 170 cities worldwide and an average of 2,000 flights daily. www.dfwairport.com
  • Fort Worth Alliance Airport. Located 19 miles north of downtown, this airport features a vast array of flight services and is the cornerstone for the nation's fastest-growing industrial complex. It offers state-of-the-art infrastructure and an award-winning FAA Air Traffic Control Tower. www.alliancetexas.com
  • Fort Worth Meacham International Airport. Land here and you're only five miles from downtown Fort Worth. This excellent airport provides four full-service fixed base operators, three maintenance facilities, and onsite rental car facilities. www.fortworthgov.org/aviation/meacham
  • Spinks Airport. This airport is located 13 miles south of downtown Fort Worth and offers easy access to Interstate 35W. It includes a full-service FBO, car rental, and maintenance facilities. www.fortworthgov.org/aviation/spinks

Airport Shuttle Service

  • Go Yellow Checker Shuttle. Shuttle service to and from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, all major downtown Fort Worth hotels, and the Airporter Park & Ride lot at 1000  E. Weatherford Street in downtown Fort Worth. Most service operates every half hour from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. 817-267-5150, $17 one way*

  • The Super Shuttle. Shuttle service from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport to downtown hotels. 817-329-2000 or 800-622-2089, $17 one way*

Rail Service

  • The Trinity Railway Express. The Trinity Railway Express provides easy rail transportation between Fort Worth and Dallas. In Fort Worth, you can catch the TRE at the Intermodal Transportation Center at 9th and Jones Streets.   • Amtrak. Fort Worth is the hub of the south central corridor for the daily Texas Eagle route (which originates in Chicago) and links St. Louis, Little Rock, Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, and San Antonio (with connecting service to Los Angeles). Bus Service                                    

  • The T Bus Service. The Fort Worth Transportation Authority provides bus service throughout the city. In the downtown area, buses that are red, white, and blue offer free rides. 817-215-8600, www.the-t.com                             
  • Molly The Trolley. This vintage-style trolley is a quick and convenient way to get around in Fort Worth. Choose from three Molly routes. www.mollythetrolley.com                                                                                     Molly the Trolley
  • Downtown Get Around - Free. Monday - Sunday 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. This line operates in a circular route every 15 minutes, stopping at hotels and popular landmarks.
  • Stockyards Shuttle- $1.50 one way. Saturday only 9 a.m. - 10:30 p.m.

Molly the Trolley is a FREE shuttle service to help visitors get around downtown. Shuttle routes link the Fort Worth Convention Center and hotels on the south end of downtown to hotels in the center and Sundance Square.
