  • Brew buzz: Founded in 2012 when three friends combined interests and expertise, built on Cody Martin's passion for home-brewing. Situated in the shadows of downtown, it's a perfect place to sip carefully crafted brew on the Trinity River banks. The company motto is, Made in Texas by Texans.

  • Brewmaster: The brewers' philosophy is about valuing good ingredients and good people, making each beer pair perfectly with life's memorable moments. Cody Martin says," we want to be the handcrafted beer you and your friends choose when celebrating your most recent adventure or planning the next one."

  • Beer sipping: Among many beers, typically 9 are on tap and there's a rotating of seasonal handles, as well as firkins and Randallized beers. (See hoppytrailsbeernews.com/beer-trivia/what-is-a-randall.) Year-rounds are Day Break, Imperial Texan, River House, Pretzel Stout, Cellarman's IPA, Gateway Blonde. For seasonals, see the monthly list at martinhousebrewing.com/the-beer/

  • Brewery visits: Hundreds of people show up from 6-8 p.m. Thursday and 2-5 p.m. Saturday for tours and tastings. Something fun is always on tap, especially on Thursday with trivia, goldfish races, open mic and other shenanigans. Dog- and family-friendly, it's a good place to just ride up on the Trinity Trails on your bicycle, too. It's $10 if you're drinking.
