All Proceeds Benefit Children of Working Ranch Families

The 2010 Cowboy Heritage Ball benefiting children of working ranch families will be held Thursday, October 21 at River Ranch in the Fort Worth Stockyards. This public Fort Worth Event helps kick off the 20th Anniversary of the Red Steagall Cowboy Gathering and Western Swing Festival.
Over the past 20 years, the Cowboy Heritage Association has awarded more than $500,000 in scholarship money through this event and private donations. Scholarships are awarded to students who have been raised in a working Texas ranch family. Eligibility requirements include maintaining a grade point average of 2.8 and remaining drug and crime free for the duration of their schooling. “We are dedicated to making higher education a priority and more affordable for our children of working ranch families,” said Steagall. Our hope is to award scholarships to all Texas ranching kids in need of a leg up.”
Tommy Hooker starts the party off with his band at 6pm on October 21st. Silent and live auction items are available. For more information about tickets and sponsorship opportunities, please contact the Red Steagall office at 817.444.5502.
