Yes, we all know it's hot out there, but great news! Fort Worth has so many ways to stay cool this summer whether you head to 1 of the 5 world-class museums in the Fort Worth Cultural District, check out BRIT's new digs or take a dip in Burger Lake, there is something for everyone.
Th e kids and the whole family will love "ASCENT...When Dreams Defy Gravity" the locally-ffocused aviation exhibit at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History. You will find 8,500 square feet of exciting, interactive as well as educational content celebrating the science and technology of flight. Kids will get a kick out of gliding through a communications tube of a B-36 Peacemaker bomber, just like crew members do. Your inner engineer might surface when you interact with the video-game-like interface that allows you to make modifications to a giant cargo jet, an unmanned aerial vehicle or a home-built kit plane. Have you been to the Botanical Research Institute of Texas' new building? It is architecturally amazing and even neater on the inside! Visitors will be able to take public or self-guided tours of the campus (10:30am and 12:30pm); view BRIT’s current exhibit, “Green from the Ground Up”; and participate in a number of botanical and educational events based on the season.
