Following the success of its first farm-to-table fundraising dinner held with eight chefs and five farms near Dallas, the group at Chefs for Farmers is already coming back for an encore, this time in Fort Worth.
This latest dinner will take over the newest location of Times Ten Cellars and host a communal table dinner with top Fort Worth Dining chefs who source and support local farmers through their own kitchens and menus.
Seating is limited to 135 guests. Those lucky guests (last event was a sellout) will enjoy six plated courses from local chefs. This is a great way to enjoy Fort Worth Nightlife while supporting a great cause.
“Chefs were chosen not only for their culinary skill, but for their commitment to support local farmers by sourcing from nearby Texas resources,” says Matt McCallister, Founder of Chefs for Farmers. “We will honor the hard work which produces such incredible ingredients from Scott Farms, Tassione Farms, Dominion Farms and the folks at Burgundy Pasture Beef.” McCallister says we can expect to hear each speak at the dinner.
The evening will end with a second stop ‘down on the ranch.’ Rancher Jim Lane will host a bonfire and marshmallow roast at J Bar L Ranch, a working cutting horse ranch, complete with live music under the stars. A Visit Fort Worth would not be complete without a bonfire!
“Bring a blanket to keep warm by the fire,” advises event organizer Iris McCallister. “And when the evening is over, we ask that you donate the blanket so we can distribute them to Meals on Wheels. That way, we can help them deliver a warm meal and warmth, too.”
Chefs include: Jon Bonnell of Bonnell’s, Blaine Staniford of Grace, Dena Peterson of Café Modern, Michael Morabito of Colonial Country Club, Dan Landsberg of Tillman’s, Gwin Grimes of Artisan Baking Company and Pastry whiz Zach Townsend of Pure Chocolate Desserts. Grace’s Sommelier Ryan Tedder will preside over wine, as he did at the first event in October. True legends of Fort Worth Entertainment!
Guests must purchase a ticket for $150. Ticket price includes taxes and gratuity.
The event will benefit Meals on Wheels of Tarrant County.
