Celebrate Engineers Week at the Fort Worth Museums of Science and History!

See how much fun aerodynamics, science, math and technology can be through engaging engineering activities alongside engineers from IBM, Lockheed Martin and other area corporations. There is so much to learn in the City of Cowboys and Culture.

This year promises to be bigger and better than ever as we celebrate the 60th anniversary of this engineering-packed week through these STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) activities:
  • Explore the world's metropolitan areas using amazing data with City Forward with IBM engineers
  • **Try your hand at flying a Lockheed Martin fighter with coaching by Lockheed Martin engineers
  • Electrical Explorations - Create circuits, play with circuit balls and learn about electrical energy.
  • Engineer Meet & Greet – Meet engineers from a variety of fields and ask them your toughest, and most interesting questions. They’re here for you!
  • Curator's Corner - Learn about nature’s natural engineers or cool discoveries in nanoscience and engineering with the Museum's curatorial team.
  • Ranching and Engineering-Visit the Digital Trail in the Cattle Raisers Museum to learn how ranchers use technology and engineering to protect their herds
  • Visit the Noble Planetarium to learn more about energy sources of the future.
  • KEVA® Competition - Test your skills in building the tallest, strongest structure against area engineers.
  • Paper Roller Coaster - Create interesting roller coasters for ping pong balls using paper and other simple materials
  • Learn about the Grand Challenges of Engineering for the next century from leading scientists and engineers
  • Build ramps, boats, balloon rockets and towers and explore important engineering principles
All activities are included with paid exhibit admission. Please note, activities are offered on a rotating basis. Engineers are onsite at varying times.
