In early spring we do what most parents do…try to find the best summer camps around for our children to attend! The Fort Worth Zoo offers 10 weeks of Zoo Camps throughout the summer with fun themes and areas of study to focus on: Zoo Busters, Animal Outreach, Birds, Barnyard Buddies and more. Participants can sign up for any number of weeks to attend. Morning sessions are offered for children ages 3 to 4 and all-day sessions for those entering kindergarten through fifth grade. Mother’s Day Brunch
Take mom to enjoy a lovely brunch at the Reserve in African Savanna at the Zoo. During the brunch you meet some of the Zoo's outreach animals, enjoy a giraffe feeding experience, as well as have the opportunity to adopt an ostrich. Boo at the Zoo
Carve out some time the last weekend of October to explore the Fort Worth Zoo. Boo at the Zoo is a trick-or-treater's haven as treat stations, carnival games and more are set up throughout the complex. Being a member of the Zoo has its perks. Think free entrance, free parking, discounted guest admission and a multitude of additional discounts around the Zoo. Fort Worth Zoo Run
Starting in January sign-ups begin for this wonderful Fort Worth tradition that has been ongoing for 20+ years now! Registration closes the day of the race, which is usually early April. There will be a timed 5K Race and a 1K Fun Run that's perfect to enjoy together as a family. After the race, runners are invited to watch an Animal Outreach presentation as well as peruse the complex. Get the details.
