Have you ever wondered what happens at the museum when the lights go off and everyone heads home? At the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History’s Reel Adventures, you can find out! To celebrate the Imax Omni Theater's 30th anniversary, a limited engagement showing of Night at the Museum: The Imax Experience has been paired with an after-hours scavenger hunt through the museum.
Armed with a flashlight and an interactive scavenger hunt, kids set off on an adventure through the museum. Along the way, the hunt challenges kids to answer science and history question by carefully observing the exhibits in the museum. While on the hunt, expect the museum to come to life with history’s most interesting characters. Have a chat about the stars with Galileo in the planetarium, or catch up with Cleopatra in the sands of the Dino Dig. There will be cowboys in the corner and cavemen under the stairs. You never know who you might meet when the sun starts to set, and with so many characters afoot, there is sure to be some mischief around every corner. Along the way, kids will also enjoy live animal and science-related demonstrations.
With the quest completed head over to the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History's Omni Imax to see some of the characters and scenes encountered on the scavenger hunt play out on the biggest screen in town with a showing of Night at the Museum. The action packed adventure is fun for all ages, and will have families rolling in the aisles with the antics of Larry Daley (played by Ben Stiller) and his out of control museum. It is sure to be a night (at the museum) to remember.
