Butterflies in the Garden, the largest exhibit of live, exotic butterflies in North Texas, will flutter into the in the conservatory of the Fort Worth Botanic Garden on Saturday, March 1, 2014, and run through Sunday, April 6, 2014.The theme for the 2014 exhibit is "Butterflies of Asia” and will feature approximately 12,000 exotic butterflies in brilliant colors. Kids will be mesmerized as butterflies with wings as big as their hands drift through the tropical plants of the glass conservatory. They will even have the magical opportunity to get close enough to watch as butterflies slurp nectar from plates of fruit. Identifying cards are available from docents to encourage kids to choose their favorites and search for each species around the conservatory.

For a special treat during the event, plan to release a butterfly in the conservatory and receive a commemorative certificate to mark the event. Prices for butterfly release are $10 for the first butterfly and $5 for each additional butterfly. Releases can be scheduled on any date of your choice at 2 pm.

Hours are 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM daily. Cost is $10 per adult, $8.00 for seniors 65 and older and $6.00 for children 3-12 years of age. Under 3 years free.
