Football season in Fort Worth means dressing head to toe in purple and cheering on the TCU Horned Frogs. Pre-game football festivities have become as much a part of the game day fun as the game itself, as tailgaters and Frog families come together at Frog Alley - the place to be before the game. Tailgating fun ‘family-style’ happens here at every TCU home game and it is a great way to get into the Frog Spirit two hours before kick-off. The east end of the stadium is transformed into a fun zone with food, drinks, vendors, inflatables, entertainment and live music. Vendors and special activities vary from week to week, but free samples and hands-on activities that kids love are always available.
Other purple-powered pre-game activities include:
- Frog Walk (Cheer on the TCU football players as they enter the stadium led by TCU cheerleaders, bands and fierce fans)
- Face Painting
- Balloon Artists
- Bounce Houses
- TCU Band and other live music
While the activities and food keep the atmosphere exciting, a highlight for fans both young and old is the ritual Frog Walk, an opportunity to cheer on the players as they arrive at the stadium and walk through the tailgating crowd. The TCU band and cheerleaders lead the procession along with SuperFrog and the Fort Worth Police. Sirens and cheers welcomed the players and Coach Gary Patterson and high fives are exchanged all around. What are you waiting for? Get your purple on and root for the TCU Horned Frogs!
