Another glorious weekend came and went in Fort Worth, Texas. Luckily, there were tons of things to do. Some of which were free in Fort Worth! The weekend kicked off with the First Friday on the Green at Magnolia event sponsored by the Near Southside of Fort Worth and the Fort Worth Weekly. Every first Friday of the month, families, friends (four-legged as well!) are invited to sit down and enjoy free live music on the green off of Magnolia Street. The Magnolia Green Park is located on Lipscomb between Magnolia and Rosedale.
The lineup featured a few Fort Worth locals including: Sean Russell, The Cush and most notably, Calhoun. It's a perfect event for the kids and even better, for the whole family! Local Mediterranean restaurant, Chadra Mezza served up some of their specialties and Central Market's food truck, H.E.A.T. made a delectable appearance. The sales and support of these vendors help keep this event free, so if you didn't get a chance to try these foodies, make sure you grab a bite next time!
Look for updates on Facebook and twitter for next month's First Friday on the Green.
