The Museums in the Cultural District are not only known for their amazing pieces of art, but they provide entertaining, educational Things to Do in Fort Worth all year-long. One of which is coming up Saturday, July 31st at The Kimbell Art Museum with the Free Family Festival, "Michelangelo, Matisse, and Me,” from 1 to 4 p.m.
The festival is one of the perfect Kids Events with a chance to spend a Free in Fort Worth afternoon with art-making activities, films and performances. There will also be an interactive jazz "informance" (combination of performance + information) get it? by the Fort Worth Jazz Orchestra you won't want to miss. It's not just Cowboys that dance in Fort Worth!
And if activities and Jazz music wasn't enough to get you out to the Kimbell, you and the kids might be interested in activities and films inspired by the European paintings in the collection.
