Come meet Green Mountain Energy's Green Santas!  Six jolly old elfs will be on hand in downtown Fort Worth Friday, December 3 around the 55' Sundance Square Christmas Tree.  They are in town to celebrate the "green" spirit of the season and to wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas!

Green Mountain's Green Santas will also be handing out "green" gifts to  Sundance Square visitors:  seeded postcards shaped like the Earth that can be planted and grown as a way to remind North Texans they can have an impact on the environment.  And, the Green Santas will be sharing tips with everyone on how they can have a "green" holiday season.
Additionally, the Green Santas will give residents information about a special limited-time offer for Pollution Free electricity from Green Mountain's website that can be redeemed through December 31, 2010.

Sundance Square's centerpiece tree, located on Main Street between 3rd and 4th streets, has over 4,000 LED lights and the blue spruce's electricity emissions are being 100 percent offset with approximately 18,000 kilowatt hours (kWh) of pollution-free, Texas wind power from Green Mountain Energy Company.  Offsetting the emissions from the tree has the same environmental impact as not driving to the North Pole and back - about 28,000 miles!

Green Mountain Energy Company, Sundance Square's energy partner, is the longest serving green power marketer in the U.S.  The company offers consumers and businesses the choice of cleaner electricity products from renewable sources, such as wind and water, and carbon offset products.  Green Mountain customers have collectively helped avoid over 4.9 million tons of CO2 emissions.  For more information, visit www.GreenMountain.com
