You would think after working at Kona Grill for several years throughout high school and college that I would have been completely over the food, but the truth is, I still crave macadamia nut chicken, crab crunch rolls and their jalapeño yellowtail sashimi on a regular basis. And starting today, I no longer need to drive to Dallas to get my Kona fix.
I counted down the long-awaited opening of Kona Grill Fort Worth and couldn't have imagined a better location for it other than the bustling West 7th District. Directly across from the Modern Art Museum on University Drive is the two-story restaurant, bar and happy hour haven, that is Kona Grill. The upstairs patio even has a retractable roof–brilliant for our fickle Texas weather. Downstairs, the sleek modern dining room is extremely comfortable and inviting, creating the perfect ambiance for any date night, girls or guys night out or family outing, with kid-friendly food options and an exotic fish tank to enjoy as you walk in.
Open for lunch and dinner, you'll find a wide variety of delicious food options-all created in their scratch kitchen: from pork tenderloin to fresh salads and sea bass to flatbreads. If you're into sushi, be sure to check out their special sushi rolls and chef plates, all made from fresh fish flown in daily.
Everyone always loves a good happy hour, so here are the details: Mon - Fri: 3p-7p; Mon-Sat: 9p-11p; and Sunday all day, enjoy deals on drinks like sake, margaritas and eats like half off sushi rolls and appetizers in the bar or patio.
