The “City of Cowboys and Culture” is proud to be home to one of the nation’s top 10 best new restaurants according to Bon Appetit magazine. The year-old Ellerbe Fine Foods, located in Fort Worth's Fairmount historic district, has basically won an Academy Award of the restaurant business.

On the “must try list” is their Heirloom Tomato Salad with Buttermilk Dressing and Blue Cheese as well as the New Orleans-style barbecue shrimp and Maw Maw's Bread Pudding.

The restaurant, at 1501 W. Magnolia Ave., opened in June 2009 in a renovated 1920s gas station. It's named after a favorite street in their hometown of Shreveport. Lunch is served Tuesday through Friday and dinner Tuesday through Saturday.
