The West 7th area isn't just for dining and bar hopping. Every weekend there's a vast choice of great live music coming from several bars and clubs. One great example, Magnolia Motor Lounge, offers a potent trifecta of concert venue, bar & grill, and lounge.

Magnolia Motor Lounge's interior is spacious with ample sheet metal adorning the walls along with Americana-themed knickknacks  The bar serves a potent mix of local craft beers, including Fort Worth's own Panther Island Brewing and Rahr & Sons Brewing Company, and the revolving menu offers creative takes on classic bar food. Last month, Magnolia Motor Lounge offered The Christmas Burger, a 1/2 patty served on open-faced jalapeño corn bread, topped with spicy cranberry mustard, provolone, garlic-n-chive cream cheese spread, ham sauteed in maple syrup and brown sugar with grilled mushrooms and fried green beans. Get the idea? Their food is amazing.

Every Monday you can watch a showcasing of local singer/songwriter talent, hosted by local musician Jody Jones. Throughout the week, great local and national band (mostly country and rock ‘n' roll) take the stage making this one of the most active live music venues in The Fort.

January 23rd, you can hear the Austin-based The Dirty River Boys perform a raucous mix of southern rock. The next day the alt-country American Aquarium visits from North Carolina. For complete listings, keep up with their events page.

Come for the food. Stay for the music. There's always something to keep you entertained at the Motor Lounge.
