There’s no better place to celebrate the American Cowboy than the City of Cowboys and Culture itself. The National Day of the American Cowboy (NDAC) is celebrating its fourth year of honoring the cowboys’ and cowgirls’ roles in our history and how they continue to play a role in everyday life. Voted best cowboy tribute event in the nation by American Cowboy Magazine, NDAC has a full schedule of events including contests, Cowboy Celebration Parade, Texas Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame dedication, live country music and gunfight shows and a horse-training demonstration at the Cowtown Coliseum by Chris Cox, two-time Road to the Horse winner.

This is a perfect Fort Worth Kids Events for entertainment as well as some cowboy education for all ages. The event will take place on East Exchange Avenue in the Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District and will be on Saturday, July 24, 2010 10:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Best of all, the event is completely free with the exception of Chris Cox’s horse training demonstrations which are $15 at the door. So come on out for The National Day of the American Cowboy and enjoy everything it has to offer. For a full schedule of events, click here.
