If you've been downtown lately, you may have noticed the coin meters slowly being replaced by modern credit card pay stations. For someone who can't ever hold on to change, this new addition to downtown parking is a great solution.
Currently, over 80 pay stations have been completed and installed around downtown locations such as Tarrant County Courthouse, the TCC campus and most recently, in front of the Convention and Visitors Bureau office on Fourth and Throckmorton.
These pay stations should make parking much easier for visitors and locals alike, without having to keep a pocket full of change around. In addition to paying with your credit card, users will also receive a printed receipt. Don't want to deal with parking meters? All Sundance Square parking lots and garages remain free after 5 p.m. weekdays and all day on weekends. Of course, you can receive a validation for up to 2.5 hours from Sundance vendors during weekdays.
