Not only is Fort Worth advancing economically, but it is doing its part to make sure it develops as a “Green” city as well. Saturday, June 16th, Fort Worth will host its first Solar Powered Music Festival. This festival will be held at Panther Island Pavilion in Trinity Uptown in Fort Worth on the banks of the Trinity River. The festival will have live music, local beer and feature area organizations. Solar Fest may showcase Fort Worth’s commitment to being a “Green” but you won’t need the green to participate – Solar Powered Music Festival is a FREE event!

Rahr Brewery is the official sponsor and the Fest will benefit Pug Rescue in honor of Rahr’s popular Ugly Pug craft beer. So everyone is encouraged to bring a donation for the local non-profit, DFW Pug Rescue (Think:  leashes, harnesses, heart worm medication, flea/tick medication, toys or monetary donation). Of course, this event is dog friendly, so bring your four-legged friend and come out for a good time! Pug Passes (Backstage Pass) will also be available for $35 which provides access to the backstage Rahr Lounge. The Pug Pass comes with two drink tickets, a Rahr t-shirt, shade & chairs and a private cash bar.
