It's that time of the year again where the weather is hot, your clothes start sticking to you and you can't stand to leave your car outside more than ten minutes. Moving to Texas was a bit of a shock to the system when I moved to Fort Worth and realized how hot it really became in the summer. Fortunately, I was born and raised in Arizona, so who am I to judge when it comes to hot weather? I guess you could say I’m used to it, but coming from one of the driest places on the planet, I had a difficult time adjusting to the concept of “humidity".
In fact, one thing that makes Texas summer bearable, is remembering how nice it is here every other time of the year! Mild winters, cool falls and refreshing springs are a nice exchange in turn for hot summers. Everyone has to deal with hot weather in the summer anyways...right? If you're not familiar with the weather here in the Fort, then wait five minutes and it will change. Just kidding... check out http://www.fortworth.com/visitors/about-fort-worth/weather/ for a detailed summary of what you can expect year-round.
There's always tons of things to do in Fort Worth to beat the heat, most notably our returning Summer Stay and Save program. Visit http://www.fortworth.com/visitors/summer-stay-and-save/ for some HOT things to do this summer!
