Make it a Fort Worth Kids Events family tradition, exclusively at the Omni Theater, an IMAX dome at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History.

All Aboard! THE POLAR EXPRESS: THE IMAX EXPERIENCE will once again delight children and adults when it returns for the holidays to the Omni Theater on Friday, Nov. 19, 2010. The Omni Theater will offer the only domed IMAX presentation in the Southwest of this now-classic family favorite.

Take a break from Fort Worth Shopping to enjoy the holiday-themed film, based on the classic Caldecott medal-winning children's book written by Chris Van Allsburg, is directed by Oscar® winner Robert Zemeckis and stars two-time Academy Award® winner Tom Hanks. Using state-of-the-art CGI and performance capture technology to create a unique blend of realism and fantasy, it tells of a doubting young boy who takes an extraordinary train ride to the North Pole and embarks on a journey of self-discovery that shows him that the wonder of life never fades for those who believe.

“The IMAX presentation allows the viewers to experience the visual splendor and amazing adventure of this classic story in a way which should create a really memorable experience, not only this holiday season but for years to come,” said director Robert Zemeckis.

THE POLAR EXPRESS: THE EXPERIENCE is distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.

Tickets for THE POLAR EXPRESS are $9 for adults, $8 for children (3-12) and seniors (60+). Museum members receive a $3 per ticket discount. The film will show daily through Jan. 3, 2011. Tickets can be purchased in advance online or by phone at 817-255-9540.

P.S. SATURDAY POLAR PAJAMA PARTIES ARE BACK! 9 - 9:45 a.m.
