The Fort Worth Convention & Visitors Bureau celebrates the launch of the redesigned with the premiere of “Where in Fort Worth is David DuBois?” Fort Worth’s webisode series follows the CVB’s president and CEO as he gets a “job for the day” at various attractions and events.  

The first webisode features DuBois as “The Drover,” where he moves the Fort Worth Herd down Exchange Avenue in the world’s only twice-daily cattle drive.  To commemorate DuBois’ debut, Fort Worth is offering a sweepstakes where meeting professionals can submit a Request For Proposal for the chance to win a special appearance by the Fort Worth Herd at their next meeting in Fort Worth. “We wanted to create an engaging and entertaining way to shine the spotlight on all of the distinctive amenities and attributes Fort Worth offers meeting professionals and convention attendees,” said Kelly Campbell, CTA, vice president of marketing communications for the Fort Worth Convention & Visitors Bureau. “It all coincides perfectly with the launch of our new website, which gives us an inviting visual and information-rich platform from which to ‘broadcast’ the webisodes.”

The new website is designed to cater to the needs of meeting professionals and visitors who are interested in the “City of Cowboys and Culture.”  The website allows users to create customized itineraries and Google maps, sign up for destination guides and e-newsletters, search listings, download coupons and photos, and so much more.  International users will appreciate the Google translator function, which translates the entire site in four languages, including Spanish, German, French and Chinese.  One of the most exciting new tools available at is the Fort Worth online booking engine.  Travelers can now book their hotel accommodations, select flight and car rental options, purchase attraction tickets, or select complete vacation packages on the new website.  Additionally, the website features recommendations and tips from Molly the Longhorn, the city’s mascot.

The interactive site also features links to Fort Worth’s social media sites on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and soon to launch Gowalla.  Visitors can also sign up to receive RSS feeds and to follow Fort Worth’s blog.
