Three perspectives on the hospitality industry, from Visit Fort Worth President & CEO Bob Jameson.

There will be lots of opportunities this fall to see our city on the silver screen because Paramount+ series Landman and Lioness season 2 were filmed in Fort Worth. Locations included the Bowie House Hotel, Fort Worth Petroleum Club, Sundance Square, TCU and many more. The Film Commission and its partners continue to bring more film and television to our city, which means more jobs for local crew and more bookings for hotels, restaurants and small businesses. Join us to celebrate the Fort Worth film industry at the 18th annual Lone Star Film Festival and Gala, November 1-4. Learn more about the festival and gala by visiting LoneStarFilmFestival.com

Join us October 2, to witness a historic gathering of four Fort Worth mayors and celebrate the Fort Worth Herd’s 25th anniversary. Mayors Mattie Parker, Betsy Price, Mike Moncrief and Kenneth Barr will join legendary rodeo announcer Bob Tallman on stage for a lively discussion about the history, challenges and successes of Fort Worth’s iconic attraction of animals that draws visitors from around the world. To commemorate the anniversary, the City Council presented a proclamation at the City Council meeting this summer. And a short film honoring the Herd and Drovers, “Driving Fort Worth,” debuted at the meeting. You can view it here. And go to CowboyConversations.com to learn more about the event and purchase tickets.

Michelin recently announced that two Fort Worth hotels were included on their list of the best in the nation: Hotel Drover in the Stockyards and Bowie House, Auberge Resort on Camp Bowie. It’s a boon for our city’s art, architecture and hospitality to be recognized by the international standard in quality and service. Restaurants and hotels listed or ranked by Michelin often experience a major uptick in sales, while diners who follow the guides consider them essential tools for mapping out vacations and trips. The first-ever Texas edition of the Michelin Guide, out November 11, is sponsored by Fort Worth, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio and Houston and the Travel Texas team in the Office of the Governor.  The list of restaurants, and how they are selected, are kept under tight wraps.
