Fort Worth Community Picking & Percussion Sessions

We hold a monthly event at The Radler, 1229 Seventh Ave, Fort Worth, TX, 76104. It is every 2nd Sunday of the month from 4-7pm with the option for the host to end the session early or extend as late as 9 PM.

Bring your string or percussion instrument and play your favorite songs with fellow musicians of all experience levels in a low pressure environment.
Sessions will rotate between Open Mic / Showcase and Acoustic Picking Circle / Jam Session formats.
Open Mic / Showcase Session Details
- Will emphasize more of an acoustic/electric showcase.
- Players will be arranged in a circle so folks can watch the main player with a mic setup at the front center of the stage.
- Will have a mic stand and PA to set up a 'lead' vocal and possible soloist mic.
- Participants should bring chord sheets or notation or use whiteboard to share with others.
- Emphasis on one soloist at a time.

All Acoustic Picking Circle / Jam Session Details
- Will emphasize more of an acoustic jam rather than showcase. (no personal amps please)
- Players will be arranged in a circle so folks can watch the main player
- Participants should bring chord sheets or notation to share with others.
- Emphasis on shared music and teaching everybody the song components.
- Emphasis on one soloist at a time.
