A tour highlighting the work of four of the Leading Architects in three World Class Museums. -The Amon Carter Museum of American Art designed by Philip Johnson, -The Kimbell Art Museum designed by Louis Kahn and Renzo Piano, and -The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth designed by Tadao Ando. The two hour walking tour focuses on how each architect responds uniquely to the challenges of the Fort Worth environment and landscape while providing shelter to artworks and visitors - an oasis of art. Tours leave from the steps of the Amon Carter Museum of American Art (3503 Camp Bowie Blvd.) every 2nd and 4th Sunday at 2:00. The museums are free to the public on Sundays so come and make a day of it.
