The Bureau of Engraving and Printing’s Western Currency facility, one of only two locations in the U.S. that print money (Washington, D.C. being the other), offers free 45-minute guided tours on weekdays. Stroll along an elevated walkway and actually see money being produced below you. There are also plenty of displays and demonstration exhibits, plus artifacts like a turn-of-the-century spider press and an engraver’s bench. Uncut sheets of currency can be purchased at the Money Store.
