George's Specialty Foods, originally known as George's Cash and Carry, was founded in 1951 by George Phiripes and wife, Helen. The Greek Turkey sandwich put the store on the map. And today, it is still famous, along with new items. Currently the business is run by George and Helen's son, Nick, his children, Theo and Stacey, and God-brother, Dimitri.
