KRISTIN JAWORSKI

Trail Boss of the Fort Worth Herd

Kristin Jaworski 2016

For almost two decades, Kristin Jaworski’s held the reins as Fort Worth Herd Trail Boss. She’s responsible for the day-to-day management of the City of Fort Worth’s twice-daily cattle drive which faithfully recreates the cattle drives of the 1800s, and helming the educational programs and media relations to better support the city’s tourism. Jaworski’s life-long interest in livestock led her to attend college at Tarleton State University, where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Masters in Management and Leadership. Last spring, the Herd celebrated its 20th anniversary. A commemoration of 14,000 cattle drives and seen by an estimated nine million spectators. The global pandemic has been particularly hard on tourism and Kristin’s business. The good news is that Kristin and her crew are now back to driving the herds of longhorns. It takes a lot of effort, and most of all leadership, to have the untamed cattle all going the right way.
