Fort Worth Premiere Package
The Fort Worth Film Commission is proud to announce our VIP screening packages for filmmakers who plan to submit their short films to the ACADEMY AWARDS®. This initiative is following the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ recent selection of Tarrant County as an eligible screening location for OSCAR® consideration. Dallas-Fort Worth is one of only six areas nationwide with this distinction.
Fort Worth invites filmmakers worldwide to apply for a premiere package, which includes the following offerings to help host an OSCAR®-qualifying screening in Fort Worth while experiencing our film-friendly city:
- Roundtrip airfare for two members of the cast or crew to Fort Worth
- Up to four complimentary room nights for cast or crew at a Fort Worth hotel
- Transportation stipend during your stay
- Daily short film screenings for seven consecutive days at our partner theater, . Filmmakers will receive 50% of the ticket sale profits
- Special premiere experience for one night during the film’s run in Fort Worth, which will include:
- Complimentary admission to premiere screening
- Film Commission photo opp, printed movie poster board, and red carpet to use at theater
- Photographer on-site at theater with event photos provided to filmmakers
- Food and beverage credit to be used for an after-party celebration for screening attendees at one of our partner venues
- Promotional support for the film premiere, including a social media post on , inclusion in a film e-newsletter and media alert distributed to local press
- Film Commission screening laurels
- Guided tour of Fort Worth
All applications will be reviewed by our Selection Committee, led by ACADEMY AWARD®-winning filmmaker Brandon Oldenburg, with four projects chosen to receive a Premiere Package each year
