Many Fort Worthians are turning to local live stream shows to unwind and relax after a long day of work and guiding their kid through remote learning classes. Local performing arts groups are using the opportunity to serve the Fort Worth community by providing homebound folks with online music lessons and tips for making music at home.

FWSO Music Lab

Fort Worth’s resident orchestra has pivoted to providing online listening and learning opportunities through the FWSO Music Lab. The Leaning Lab component offers high-quality educational videos that guide young minds through various music families (percussion, string, wind and others).

Link Up concerts allow viewers to play or sing along to familiar songs like "Simple Gifts" and "Ode to Joy." Lunchtime With Mozart is held online every Wednesday and provides activities and worksheets that can be completed within the span of a lunch break.

Cliburn at Home

The Van Cliburn Foundation is traditionally known for its formal concerts. The venerable foundation is showing a more intimate, homier side with its Cliburn at Home. The online resources offer live stream concerts, artist spotlights and free lessons for kids.

Cliburn Kids is hosted by pianist Buddy Bray who explores music concepts through listening games and storytelling. Kids are encouraged to dance and participate in programs that cater to elementary-aged children.
