Fort Worth Film Collaborative

The Fort Worth Film Collaborative is a film workforce development certification program to address the growing need for trained film industry crew in the greater Fort Worth area. The one-of-a-kind curriculum will provide students a pathway to employment in the film industry.

In August 2023, the Fort Worth Film Commission and Tarrant County College, in partnership with 101 Studios, launched the program, which will foster local talent and build a robust film workforce in Fort Worth and Tarrant County.

Tarrant County College will serve as the educational backbone of the Fort Worth Film Collaborative. Leveraging their state-of-the-art facilities and experienced faculty, the college will provide a platform for students to gain an understanding of the film industry and develop practical skills essential for success in the film industry.

The Fort Worth Film Commission and Tarrant County College also worked with several local entities on this project including Red Productions, Out of Order Studios, MPS Studios and Panavision. Local industry experts contributed to the curriculum with instructional videos, including a gaffer, location manager, professionals in key departments including hair & makeup, accounting, key grip and camera.
