Fort Worth to Host 2024 Fortnite Global Championship and 2024 Rocket League World Championships
Fort Worth, TX - Fort Worth will host the 2024 Fortnite Championship Series (FNCS) Global Championship and the 2024 Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) World Championships at Dickies Arena.
The 2024 FNCS Global Championship will be held from September 7-8, 2024. The 2024 RLCS World Championships will have their Open Audience from September 13-15, 2024.
“Dickies Arena is excited and honored to host both the Fortnite Battle Royale Global Championship and the Rocket League World Championship this September,” said Matt Homan, general manager and president of Trail Drive Management Corp. “This is another fantastic opportunity for Fort Worth and Dickies Arena to show fans from around the world what an incredible city and venue we have to experience these esports championships.”
The 2024 FNCS Global Championship features a $2,002,000 prize pool for its duo competition, featuring competitive Fortnite pairs from around the world. The 2024 RLCS World Championships will have a closed preliminary round from September 10-12 before the final Open Audience tournament featuring 16 international teams, with a prize pool of $1,165,000 up for grabs.
“Fort Worth is quickly becoming a top destination for hosting high-profile esports championships and we look forward to welcoming thousands of Fortnite and Rocket League fans this September,” said Jason Sands, executive director for the Fort Worth Sports Commission.
These events alongside the Brag House Recruitment Fair and Colleges Esports, set for September 21-22, will pack the September calendar for Fort Worth sporting events. Previous esports events hosted by the city include the 2019 Call of Duty Championship Series, 2022 Rocket League World Championships, 2023 Halo Championship Series.
