Fort Worth, TX (July 14, 2025) — Visit Fort Worth is proud to announce Georgia Cartwright as the new Trail Boss of the Fort Worth Herd. Cartwright brings more than 20 years of hands-on experience in horse and cattle management, along with a strong background in team leadership and operations.

Cartwright grew up on her family’s ranch, where she developed a lifelong passion for livestock care and western heritage. She went on to spend two decades with the Wells Fargo Stagecoach program, traveling the country as part of the iconic equestrian team. More recently, she worked at the Tarrant County Clerk’s Office, further honing her organizational and administrative expertise.

The Fort Worth Herd is the world’s only twice-daily cattle drive and one of the top attractions in Texas. Cartwright joins a dedicated team that has maintained the Herd’s high standards and daily operations during the search for new leadership.

“Georgia’s passion for Fort Worth’s western heritage and her depth of experience made her the ideal choice,” said Bob Jameson, president and CEO of Visit Fort Worth. “This is an important time for the cattle drive as the Stockyards is experiencing record visitors and planning to expand even more.”

The Fort Worth Herd cattle drives take place daily at 11:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. along East Exchange Avenue in the Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District.
