Pam Minick to Receive Hospitality Award at Annual Meeting on February 14, 2025
FORT WORTH, TX — Pam Minick, an iconic leader who has put Fort Worth on a national stage in music and sports, will receive the Visit Fort Worth Hospitality Award during its Annual Meeting on February 14, 2025. The event will take place at the Fort Worth Convention Center and is presented by Pinnacle Bank.
Each year, the Visit Fort Worth Hospitality Award honors an individual, organization, or company that has significantly contributed to enhancing Fort Worth’s tourism industry. This year’s recipient, Pam Minick, embodies the spirit of the award through her dedication to promoting Fort Worth’s vibrant culture and western heritage.
A trailblazer and pillar in the Fort Worth community, Minick’s remarkable career spans decades in rodeo, broadcasting, and entertainment. She began her journey as Miss Rodeo America, later becoming a celebrated commentator for the National Finals Rodeo (NFR), Professional Bull Riders (PBR), and the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo. It was in Fort Worth where she met her husband, Billy Minick, and together they went on to manage and co-own Billy Bob’s Texas, further cementing their legacy as champions of Fort Worth’s hospitality industry.

From her instrumental role in showcasing Fort Worth during the 2011 Super Bowl to her support of our cultural and tourism industries, Pam has always been a champion for our community. We are so proud to honor her with this award.”
The Hospitality Award, sponsored by Kelly Hart & Hallman, was designed to resemble Amon Carter’s tradition of giving Shady Oak hats to visitors symbolizing Fort Worth’s warm welcome. Past recipients include former Mayor Betsy Price, Dr. Opal Lee, DFW Airport and Stockyards Heritage and Holt Hickman among others.
In addition to celebrating Minick’s achievements, the Annual Meeting will feature keynote speaker and former Nike brand executive Jordan Rogers, sponsored by The Shops at Clearfork. Rogers has had an inspiring journey from overcoming adversity to leading brand marketing for Nike Basketball. His work included collaborations with top athletes and creatives such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Kevin Durant and Virgil Abloh. Rogers believes that marketing should tell a story to create an emotional connection with the consumer. His personal resilience and his expertise in branding will be an exciting way to start your morning.
The Annual Meeting will also feature updates on Fort Worth’s growing tourism industry, which has more than doubled in jobs and impact during the past decade. Guests can also expect fun and surprises throughout the event.
