With the recent expansion of the Texas Moving Image Industry Incentive Program (TMIIIP), eligible productions have more opportunities than ever to maximize their incentive award. In addition to the base grant, productions may qualify for several additional grant awards. These stackable “uplifts” allow productions to qualify for a cash rebate of up to 31% of their in-state spend.

Explore the guide below for resources to help meet uplift requirements while filming in Fort Worth. Please contact the Fort Worth Film Commission team at film@fortworth.com with any questions.

Texas Historic Site

a 2.5% Texas Historic Site incentive for filming at eligible historic locations throughout the state.

Projects utilizing historic sites in this state as filming locations for 5% or more of total production days may receive an additional 2.5% of total in-state spending. To qualify for a grant under this section, filming locations must be used for filming (and not basecamps) and have either a Historic Designation from the Texas Historical Commission or be listed on the National Historic Places Register as administered by the Texas Historical Commission in conjunction with the National Parks Service.

If your project already calls for a historic setting, or you're still exploring locations, choosing a qualifying historic site could help maximize your incentive while providing an authentic backdrop for your story.
