Prior to joining the FWCVB, Barnett served as Transient Sales Manager with the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center in Grapevine, TX, where she exceeded room revenue goals in 2009, 2010 and 2011. Barnett's background also includes serving as Transient Sales Coordinator with the Gaylord Texan where she supported the Director of Transient Sales and Transient Sales Managers.

Barnett's membership affiliations include Texas Travel Industry Association (TTIA) and Dallas-Fort Worth Area Tourism Council (DFWATC), where she serves as a board executive. Barnett is a graduate of Texas A&M University in College Station.
