Lightscape

The Fort Worth Botanic Garden’s holiday celebration returns for another year of lighted landscapes within the beautiful gardens. With 80% newly reimagined light displays this year, you won’t want to miss this new holiday tradition in Fort Worth. Get tickets. 

 

Sundance Square Plaza 

December 6-Holiday Season

The annual Parade of Lights returns to delight visitors with over 100 illuminated entries featuring community groups and supporters from around Fort Worth. TCU’s Coach Sonny Dykes will serve as Grand Marshall and Santa Claus will make a special appearance. Enjoy shopping and dining downtown before and after this event, the perfect way to usher in the holiday season. Learn more. 

 

The 77th Annual Fort Worth Community Christmas Tree in Sundance Square Plaza will hold its tree lighting ceremony on Wednesday, December 6 at 6:30pm. The Community Christmas Tree in Sundance Square will be the tallest live Christmas Tree in Texas! This year's celebration will include a musical concert by Marie Osmond. Mayor Parker and Marie Osmond will countdown and light the tree, along with members of the Fort Worth City Council and other community leaders. Head to Downtown Fort Worth before and after the tree-lighting for Christmas shopping, dining, entertainment and merriment. 

 

Fort Worth Stockyards 

November 24-December 24 

Christmas in the Stockyards is a magical time, blending Fort Worth’s western heritage with holiday festivities, including the Rodeo Rink, sounds of the season, photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus Story Time, reindeer games, Strolling Dickens’ Characters, Cowboy Poetry and a Christmas parade. The season kicks off with Cowboy Santa’s Grand Arrival Parade and Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday November 24th.  

 

The Shops at Clearfork 

November 24-December 24 

Take photos with Santa at Clearfork near one of the largest Christmas trees in Fort Worth, and don’t miss the Clearfork Holiday Market on December 2nd, with gifts and holiday treats from your favorite local vendors.  

 

Gift of Lights at Texas Motor Speedway 

November 23-January 7 

Tune your radio to a holiday station and take a magical drive through this Texas Motor Speedway holiday tradition, a fun time for the whole family. The average drive-thru time is 45 minutes and tickets can be purchased at the gate or in advance. Get tickets. 

 

The Modern Lights, Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth 

November 24-February 4 

The trees around the Modern Art Museum are decorated with twinkling lights that sparkle and shine for the holiday season. Museum galleries are free until 8pm on Fridays, and the Modern will have a special Dinner with the Modern Lights every Friday night. Or attend First Friday at the Modern, where the museum and Café team up to host live music, drink specials and tasty bites in the museum’s grand lobby from 5-8pm. Learn more.
