The expansion and renovation of the Fort Worth Convention Center is at the heart of more than $2 billion in investments in our downtown. The Center will be open during construction, with completion in early 2030.

About the Convention Center District 

  • Surrounded 4,000 hotel rooms in the downtown core  

  • Adjacent to Texas A&M Fort Worth campus, the Water Gardens and Main Street leading to Sundance Square 

  • 10-minute drive to the historic Stockyards to the north 

  • 10-minute drive to museums, zoo and botanic garden to the west

Phase 1 Overview: Completion Winter 2025

  • Straighten Commerce Street to make way for new hotel 

  • Expanded southeast entrance by Water Gardens and Texas A&M - Fort Worth 

  • Increase loading docks from 7 to 11 and eventually to 13

  • $95 million investment
