Fort Worth Filmmaker Channing Godfrey Peoples’ feature film debut, Miss Juneteeth, recently premiered at Sundance Film Festival. Ahead of its upcoming June release, the independent film shared a few of the locations filmed at in Fort Worth. Be on the lookout for these locales!
The film is based in Texas and follows the journey of Turquoise Jones, a single mom and one-time winner of the Miss Juneteenth Beauty Pageant, as she tries to prepare her daughter Kai to follow in her mother’s footsteps by competing in the Miss Juneteenth competition.
