New sales initiatives reached more customers in new ways. At IMEX, the nation’s largest trade show for the convention sales business, Visit Fort Worth had its largest-ever exhibit along with hotel partners and Fort Worth-based American Airlines.
Site Visits Boost Sales
Convention customers who visit Fort Worth are three times more likely to book business than those who do not. To capitalize on this, the Sales and Services team enhanced familiarization trips in FY22. For example, Visit Fort Worth hosted a dozen customers who specialize in the Black meetings market and they shared an evening with Juneteenth champion Opal Lee on her 96th birthday.
