The jingling bells of Christmas and the clinking glasses of holiday-themed cocktails and beer releases are two harbingers that merry ol’ times lie ahead. Fort Worth’s restaurants and bars have more seasonal offerings than we have days left until Christmas, but it’s never too late to get started.
Rahr & Sons Brewing
North Texas’ first craft beer brewery recently celebrated its 14th anniversary. Early on, Rahr & Sons’ Winter Warmer became the region’s go-to fall brew. The ale is dark and deep with roasty chocolate and dark berry notes. Rahr keeps fans of the seasonal beer enticed through its bourbon barrel-aged series, which has included collaborations with Jack Daniels in the past.

Martin House Brewing Company
Recently relaunched Sugar & Spice is a Fort Worth / Martin House Brewing Company holiday tradition. The spiced American barleywine is all you need to keep you warm on cold nights with its welcome notes of nutmeg and cinnamon. Weighing in at 12% ABV, this ale will put anyone in the holiday spirit.
Cowtown Brewing Company
Oktoberfest season may be over, but you can still imbibe some of Fort Worth’s seasonal best with Cowtown Brewing Company’s The Last Kaiser. The bier balances sweet maltyness with generous portions of hops, resulting in a beer that’s clean and memorable.
Panther Island Brewing Company
“Like a Reese’s Pieces” is the best way to describe Sweet Fang’s sweetly seductive flavor profile. The Panther Island brew got a serious boost of booze with Imperial Sweet Fang. Grab a pint while it’s in stock. Better yet, grab a pour at the Northside brewery that makes it. Panther Island Brewing now sells beer to-go.
