Cold weather activities look a little different this year; however, there are still many places open to enjoy your time in Fort Worth.
Fort Worth Museum of Science and History
The Fort Worth Museum of Science and History is open on the weekends, Saturday and Sunday. It is an awesome place to spend a few hours out of the weather with the kids. Some processes have changed, though. You now receive timed tickets to ensure capacity requirements, and some of the more interactive exhibits are closed. A discounted admission price of $9 is being offered. If you opt to stay home, the museum also offers Discovery Lab Online, which offers neat videos from those experts that you may meet at the museum. Your kids can also submit their questions and have them answered by the experts. Get the details.
Stockyards Rodeo Rink
Why hide from the cold? Embrace it! Ice skating is the perfect cold-weather activity. Get bundled up and head to the Stockyards Rodeo RInk. It’s Fort Worth's only outdoor skating rink and it offers public skating until February 5, 2023. Get your tickets.
Stockyards Championship Rodeo
Put your best boot forward when you round up the herd for the world’s only year-round rodeo every Friday and Saturday night in the historic Cowtown Coliseum. It’s a two-hour event that promises to be something the kids talk about all the way home. Get the details.
Your Neighborhood Library
The library is a perfect place to spend some time on a cold day with the family. It encourages reading and provides a place for kids to explore the world of knowledge at their leisure. From popular magazines to literary geniuses, your kids can travel the world without ever leaving the library. Check the calendar for different events like the once-a-month Makers Showcase. Log Cabin Village
The Log Cabin Village is an activity you will definitely need a coat to enjoy while easily staying socially distant from other patrons. Leisurely stroll through the cabins via one-way loop or purchase your own hands-on activity bag that your family can take home. Reservations are required in advance. Get the details.
National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame
Learn about the ladies of the prairies and the hard work they put in at the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame. Country Music Superstar and Museum Hall of Famer Miranda Lambert's guitar is display as well as Wonder Woman's costume from the latest blockbuster.
