Hit another kind of trail on the Fort Worth Ale Trail

The city is home to an array of breweries, and you can sample them all on the Ale Trail. From Fort Worth staple Rahr and Sons to the creative brews at Martin House Brewing Company and even craft ciders at Locust Cider, there are plenty of watering holes to quench your thirst this summer.

Grab a margarita or two on Joe T. Garcia’s patio

There’s nothing like a frozen margarita on Joe T. Garcia’s beautiful patio. The family-owned restaurant has been a staple since 1935!

Get wild at the Fort Worth Zoo

Make it a family day at the Fort Worth Zoo visiting your favorite animals. Afterwards, kids can beat the heat in the zoo’s Safari Splash, a 14,000-square foot water jungle gym.

See the Fort Worth Herd in the Stockyards

A day in the Fort Worth Stockyards is a must. While you’re there, make sure to catch the daily cattle drive and a stop by Billy Bob’s Texas for a two-stepping lesson or concert.

Cool down with a frozen treat

Ward off the Texas heat with some local frozen treats at Curly’s Frozen Custard where you can find sundaes, shakes and of course, frozen custard. For ice cream, you can’t go wrong with Melt or Morgan’s Ice Cream. Both local creameries offer non-dairy options and have seasonal flavors!
