Transportation options in Fort Worth allow accessible, environmentally friendly and thrifty freedom to roam. If you’re new to Fort Worth, just visiting, or you want to explore more than just the traditional car/ride share options, here are some transit tips for you.
Fort Worth Central Station
Central Station, as the name implies, is the main hub for Fort Worth's busses and trains. In addition to local and regional services, Central Station is also serviced by Amtrak's Heartland Flyer and Texas Eagle trains and Greyhound Bus service. Central Station is located just two blocks from the Fort Worth Convention Center and a short distance from Sundance Square.

Single rides on all Trinity Metro buses cost $2, and an all-day pass with unlimited rides is just $5.
TEXRail
Rail Between Downtown Fort Worth to DFW Airport
The TEXRail commuter rail serves nine stations from downtown Fort Worth to DFW International Airport's Terminal B. It's a great transfer option for visitors staying in Downtown as well as locals looking to shorten their airport commute. For just $2.50 one-way, jump on TEXRail from two convenient points in downtown: the historic T&P Station or Fort Worth Central Station.
Trinity Railway Express (TRE)
Rail Between Downtown Fort Worth and Downtown Dallas
Splitting time between Big D and Fort Worth? The Trinity Railway Express (TRE) has you covered. It's the best way to get from the Fort to the American Airlines Center (AAC) and downtown Dallas. The train will even wait 30 minutes after the end of your event to ensure all riders make it back. Certain westbound trains will depart the American Airlines Center 20 minutes after the end of Dallas Stars and Dallas Mavericks games that begin after 6 p.m. Monday–Saturday ensuring all riders make it back home. This means you can sit back down and enjoy the encore or overtime. A regional day pass is $12.
Take the Trolley
Downtown Fort Worth Trolley
The vintage-style Trolley isn’t just adorable; it's convenient and free. Molly will take you all around downtown Fort Worth, with stops at all major hotels, landmarks and entertainment venues. You’ll never wait more than 15 minutes for a ride, and Molly runs daily from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. If you want to go farther than just downtown, Molly the Trolley will drop you off at Fort Worth Central Station where you can jump on a Trinity Metro bus and go.
The Dash

Trinity Metro's The Dash is a series of bright red electric buses that whisk riders between downtown and the Cultural District and Dickies Arena, allowing quick and convenient access to two popular areas of the city. A day pass costs just $5.
ZIPZONE
Convienent Rideshare
Trinity Metro's ZIPZONE on-demand rideshare system uses vans that you can summon from your phone in certain areas of the city. Depending on your location, you can use ZIPZONE to access a number of attractions, including the Fort Worth Zoo, the Botanic Gardens, Texas Motor Speedway or Texas Christian University.

Citywide Connections
Trinity Metro operates 30+ routes that connect most of the city. Popular routes for tourists include the #15, which connects Downtown Fort Worth to the Stockyards, the #2, which connects Downtown and runs down the bricks of Camp Bowie Boulevard, and the #1, which connects downtown with Magnolia Avenue via Hemphill. Each of these routes runs with 15-minute frequencies for most of the day, meaning you'll never have to wait long to catch a ride. A day pass costs just $5.

Fort Worth B-Cycle plays an integral part in keeping people moving around Fort Worth and helping people move in ways that support their overall health. With 350+ bicycles to borrow, you can explore the 100+ miles of Trinity Trails or just see the city from close-up via the many bike lanes. The best part –– when you’re tired or done, just return the B-Cycle to any one of the 50+ stations around town. If you’re a hesitant biker, keep an eye out for the white electronic bikes. Pedal as you want, the bike does most of the work!
